Beach for the weekend

Labor day weekend for us started the Friday before and we were able to head back down to Rhode Island. Katie and Kelly were able to join us for the day. Between all of us, there were 7 little girls that day ranging from 10mos to 4yrs.

Love this one of Emma and Kyla!

This was as far as she got with it.. lol.. maybe next year.

Emma LOVED crawling into the waves - it was the funniest thing!

The moon was incredible that night so we took our tripod and headed down to the beach. This first picture is taken on the beach and you can see Block Island which is across Long Island Sound all lit up.

This one is looking down the beach and the neighboring town, Misquamicut.

The weekend was so much fun - we really spent most of the time on the beach! It was gorgeous and all the kids did great. Some days we were even lucky enough for the kids to sneak some naps on the beach. We went for walks, enjoyed seafood, had our favorite ice cream, "attempted" a few carousel's and most of all just enjoyed each other's company!

Too cute..

My FAVORITE picture of Andrew. Gotta love the cool kite in the background.
Isabelle's favorite - dribble castles!

On Sunday - Dan, Molly, Andrew, Wayne & Em joined us.

Beach for a day

At the end of August, my parent's rented a beach cottage in Weekapaug, Rhode Island. Both families have a ton of history there and it is where Bobby & I got married. It is such a special place and it was great to go back! Since Bobby had Tuesday off we headed down for the day.

My grandma went down for the week and had a wonderful time!

Beach boxes line both entrances to the beach! They are a brilliant idea and make life so much easier! Most people even decorate or add personal touches to theirs. adorable.

Both girls loved the beach!

after taking a chilly swim, Isabelle borrowed my sweatshirt and took off with it ;)

Isabelle loved the turtle that daddy made.

It was a great day and both girls slept all the way home!

Summer Vacation

Our summer vacation began when the Bradberry's flew up from Tennesse and they were fortunate enough to bring some celebrities along with them... ;) Here is a picture of Amy and I with Lady Antebellum! They were super sweet and we were really excited about their upcoming concert that evening.

We left the boys at home with all three little girls, grabbed our raincoats (it was actually a chilly day) and headed to the concert to see Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert and Kenny Chesney. I'm not even going to mention how the concert really was or how long we stayed - lol - we were definitely out of our league and let's just say I will never buy lawn tickets to a sold out event again...

The next day we headed up to Bobby's parent's cottage in Fairhaven, Mass. My pictures are not necessarily in order from the trip. For a much better recap of our trip and some similar pics ;) check out Amy's blog.

Here are a few of our Boston pictures! Unfortantely, the weather really worked against us and it was soo hot. We still had a great time and were able to see a few of Boston's hot spots!

Some beach pictures..

waiting patiently for our Martha's Vineyard Trip.

on the steamship!

slightly wind-blown but it felt great!!

Emma enjoyed her first boat ride!

We took a 2.5 hour sightseeing trip around the island. It was an awesome way to see everything and enjoy the air conditioning!

the sweetest picture of Isabelle & Anna Kate and the only one out of way too many to mention where they are both looking at the camera and smiling!

This picture sums up the vacation for me - LOVE it.. two old buddies just hanging out on the bus chatting! We had an awesome time and can't wait to plan our next trip!!
